May 11 I Took The 30 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge!![]() On HubPages there is a hubber that has challenged hubbers to write 100 hub pages in 30 days or 30 hub pages in 30 days. I am taking the challenge! This will be hard for me as my thought process doesn't always function well since my major illness in 2008. But, I am going to put my best effort into this. Come and visit me and see what I am writing. It has a lot to do with my whole life in stages. April 02 Angel Kisses PuzzleMarch 15 Raisin Bran Muffins These
raisin bran muffins have become a must to make each week. They are
hubby's favorite and they are very expensive when you buy them at the
store now. They were bran. Well, I went online and searched for a
receipt and came up with this one. It is fantastic! I vary it a bit
depending if we have applesauce or not. Great with or without
applesauce. Cooking time varies. Just experiment until you get what you
like. I double the batch to make them larger.Post Raisin Bran Muffins Ingredients 1 1/4 c Flour 1/2 c Applesauce 1 tb Baking powder 1/3 c Brown sugar; packed 1/4 ts Salt 2 tb Margarine; melted, (can use 2 c POST raisin bran cereal 1/3 c Dried apricots; chopped, 1 c Skim milk Cinnamon sugar; (*optional, 1 Egg; slightly beaten Instructions for Post Raisin Bran Muffins Heat oven to 400 (375 if you are making extra large muffins, as I do). Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix cereal and milk in a separate bowl and let stand 3 minutes. Add to the cereal and milk, the egg, applesauce, sugar and margarine. Add to flour mix, with the apricots if you are using them, and stir until just moistened. Pour into sprayed muffin pan, (sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, if desired) and bake 20 minutes until golden. Makes 12. NOTE, if you like the extra large (Texas-sized ) muffins like I do, bake at 375, for 20-30 minutes (closer to 30, but check at 20). Makes 6 The
tops meet when cooking and I thought I did something wrong but that
just happens. Let your mix set for a few minutes before putting into
pan.
March 12 Little Visitor "Little Visitor" is a tiny lizard I found wandering around our house earlier in the day. It went up over the fireplace front and mantle onto a window curtain topper. I tried several times to get it outdoors but is went in the opposite direction. Hubby took these pictures. ![]() It was weird when it crawled onto my hand my hand actually had a numb feeling (very scary). It is still in the house wandering somewhere. It is just a baby as I have seen them much larger. We have no idea how they get into the house. February 23 Puzzle PicturesPuzzles that have been put together and sealed make great wall hangings. I have made several, some tiny other huge. The bear one I made for my oldest daughter that collects bears. These kitty ones I have for sale. I am currently working on a large one, but not doing well. It is mostly shade of white and shades of blue. I think it will take me forever to get it put together. It is of a couple of children angels and will be lovely when finished and framed. My dear husband makes the wood frames around each finished puzzle. I will put photos here of the few I have done. |
